The average hang weight for a full cow is between 800 - 950 lbs, making a 1/2 cow between 400 - 475 lbs., with an average of a 60 - 65% finished yield. We charge $8.25 per pound based on hang weight for a half cow.
In a standard half cow the cuts you will receive are as follows: 150 +/- lb Ground beef, Plate Ribs, Back Ribs, Dino Ribs, 4 Denver Steaks, 4 Flat Iron Steak, 12 Ribeye Steaks, 6 Sirloin Steaks, 8 Filet, 10 NY Strip, 2 Chuck roast, 2 Arm Roast, 2 Top Round Roast, 2 Bottom Round Roast, 2 Eye Round Roast, 3 Sirloin Tip Roast, 2 Flank Steak, 2 Skirt Steak and 2 Brisket (1/4). You can also choose to receive organs, bones and fat.
